Heloisa Helena Milioli is a PhD student in Biological Sciences at The University of Newcastle with the research topic "Biomarker Discovery in Breast Cancer". She received a BSc. in Biological Sciences (2008) and a MSc. in Genetics (2011) from respectable Universities in Brazil. Before coming to Australia, she worked as a lecturer in the Department of Cell Biology, Embryology and Genetics at the Federal University of Santa Catarina, ministering classes to various courses such as Biological Sciences, Dentistry, Medicine, Nursing, and Speech Pathology. Her current field of interest lies in investigating the cellular and molecular mechanisms involved in the origin and evolution of breast tumours, with particular emphasis on bioinformatics approaches.
